Ferrari has released the information of the successor to the 360 Modena, the F430. The new Ferrari F430, which benefits from the company's superb Formula One technology.
The Ferrari F430 will be launch at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The Modena name is also now part of Ferrari's history, as the new model will only be known as the F430. Under the bonnet of the red-hot Italian is a 4.3-litre V8 engine with a power output of 360 kW at 8 500 r/min. Maximum torque is 465 Nm at 5250 r/min. The F430 accelerates from 0-100km/h in four seconds and its top speed is 315 km/h. It has several of Ferrari's F1 innovations. For example itcomes with an electronic differential (E-Diff) and the steering wheel-mounted switch (better known to the Formula 1 Scuderia's drivers as "manettino"), which manages the integrated systems governing vehicle dynamics. The gearbox is also F1-derived which cuts gear shifting times down to 150 milliseconds.


Gear changin can be done via pedals on the steering wheel. The F430 will rival super cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 911 Turbo.
